I have tool boxes with slide drawers not ball bearings.
Craftsman and Mac.

I have to re-grease the drawers every 10 years or so as the grease dries out and gets sticky with hard to pull drawers.

Is there any grease out there that lasts a while longer without drying out?

I'm sure this has been talked about before but I couldn't find it with a search.

Apreciate the help and thanks!

yah, most guys around here would have gone thru a few tool boxes in that time- no need to worry about slides...

I have been using white lithium in a can (spray grease). Recently restored a set of used macs with slides. They were real hard to open and the red grease had dried to molasses. Googled and found that Mac recommends not to use grease in the slides for this reason. The spray does work a lot better.

I cleaned my slides though. I took them all out and soaked them and then scraped them and scrubbed them. Found out later I could have soaked them in mineral spirits or evapo rust and saved alot of time!

Done the Wurth HHS spray and thought it good.

Hell, I can't really tell the difference between it and 10-40 though if the slides are true :)

Also white lith. grease for old slides with slightly warped false channels.
