What kind of cutter did you get and how much? What sort of software does it use? I've thought about getting one at times, but the last one I looked at was pretty spendy unless I started selling vinyl graphics. I'm thinking that if it was standard printer size - 8.5 x 11 - it would do most of what I'd consider using it for.

The labels look great. Once you have a tool you find all sorts of uses for it!

i bought the bobcat 24" from vinyl express /sign warehouse plotter/cutter/software was about $1,000 total package.

I was doing a lot of layout work for other forums/ friends, and just sending the files to get cut at one of the local places here, but there lead time and quality was getting poor and out of my control so I just bought one myself .

so if any of you need work done just ask

Hmmm... Union Dale... Too bad that's over three hours away... :(

Yep, that was about the price that I was looking at the last time I checked - IOW, more than I could afford for what I'd use it for.

What sort of file/artwork do you need to work from?

How about "SAE"?

If you work out of the boxes a lot, you won't need the labels. They will give a thief clues on where to look...

I like the marking of the drawers. Have thought about doing that myself. I have two roll away toolboxes that I originally intended to have one inches and one metric. However though I have duplicate screwdrivers, pliers and the like in both boxes so am thinking about rearranging things so that they would be more in one place. Marking the drawers makes it nice if someone is helping you and you need to have them get something for you though.

It used to be that way here. It's still not too bad, but once in awhile there will be a rash of bulglaries.

All of the usual suspects are currently in jail, so we are having a reprieve.

I've labeled my drawers for years and I love it.

I just use address labels for the computer; you can choose any size you want. Then grab some magnetic sheets from the hobby store (or around here they adhere magnetic advertisements to the new fone books every year and I horde them 'cause everyone tosses them out) and cut them to the size of your address labels. Stick the labels to the magnetic sheet and you can swap them from drawer to drawer as you move things around. New labels are easily made on your PC as you think of new designations..........
