I also just bought some of the solid harbor freight stuff, got one roll to cover a couple drawers in my KRA box that were missing liners and try it out. I cut a piece for one drawer and I like the stuff. lays flat and is tacky. I have it in my wrench drawer and nothing moves except for my snap on zero offsets that slide in the plastic tray they came in. My KRA has the old crappy liners that bunch up and dont really hold the tools at all. very slippery. I like the HF stuff, I'd like to compare it to the nu source or raptor grab stuff. 100 times better than my old liners and I don't go for the open cell stuff either.

Just go with the Nu Source liner. Some of these other solutions like carpet or rubber are way too thick and take up precious drawer height.

The Nu Source line stays put and tools don't roll around.

It's as close to SO KRL drawer liner as I've found.

Based on the above pics I reached out to Eric at Nu Source and he shipped me a sample the next day. I liked the sample and purchased material from them. Eric was super professional and I am loving the product.

I wonder how the Nu Source compares to the HF stuff. I have the HF liner and I am super impressed with it. It was basically exactly what I was looking for. One thing I like about it, is that once it beds in, rubber sticks to the drawers like window clings, so it doesn't walk or move until you peel it up (...it comes up easy when you do). Also, it doesn't let the tools move either. I don't have a tray for my punches. They just sit in rows and they used to walk all the time when I opened a drawer. Now they stay put unless I pick them up. I don't move my box though.

I can't seem to find the Raptor Grab liners anymore. Does anyone know where to get those or did they go out of business? Those are the best I've seen.

I'm pretty sure that Jonco Industries is no longer selling retail quantities of drawer liner. In case I'm mistaken, here is the last email address that I have for Mike: [email protected]. Give it a shot and please report the results to the group.

The email on the Raptor Grab website is
[email protected]
I used to have his cellphone number but that was years ago.

I will give the email you listed a try as well.

Thanks

I'm also looking for liner for a new to me, Snap-On Box set. Let me know if you reach Raptor.

My drawers are 20" deep and I can only seem to fine 18" wide rolls. Snap On KR550 & KR555 boxes. Am I missing something??

This NSI product looks good, but it appears I need more than one roll?
Guess I'll have to do the math!

from my rough maths 1 roll be perfect for that, inner drawers are under 35" width and 20" depth .
assume bottom 9 drawer and top 7 drawer runs (12 drawers with split drawers) plus the top so you likely have enough spare for 4 more drawers or 4 bad cuts :)

NSI is proper good product and if cut neat end result is fantastic and proper long lasting ...

Jonco used to sell retail quantities of the raptor liner on eBay. Thats where I bought mine several years ago. Searching now though, they don't seem to be doing that anymore.
Correct, I can't even find old/sold auctions that have ended. I find them on Google, but when I click on them they open up in eBay it says item has been removed.

I think you will have a bit left over. The large 72in x 20 foot roll from NSI = 72in x 240in=17,280

Thinking you lay two large drawers next to each other 31.25in +31.25 =62.5 Wide cuts and 19.5in deep , so u lose 9.69 in of waste(one piece for the middle small drawer top box) For the 9 bottom box drawers.
Lay top box drawers 19.5in, 19.5in, 11in, 11in,11in = 72in wide 31.25 tall cuts
change layout for the top box since you have the 6 small drawers. I had to lay my drawers out and see what resulted in the smallest waste. You will find other uses for any scraps.

I used a couple of sawhorses and a sheet of plywood with a drywall straight edge and razor knife. I am sure another tool box or side box will follow you home.
The drawer dimensions are from collecting snap on.

I ordered the NSI product, thanks for the advice. I just moved both boxes tonight, in my wife's full size Chevy. Getting the top box off (no handles or clearance) was tricky, but no smashed fingers or damage. Now to start moving tools over.

Resilia (sold on Amazon) proved too hard & plasticy - I thought the ribs would prevent tools from rolling around when I opened the drawer , but it's just too... hard & plasticy

need a more rubbery option

What is the most desirable thickness for a liner? You want something thick enough, but not too flimsy either.
