Tool Box ID needed.

I have finally found a good quality box for my bench but cant seem to find any marks on this. It appears to be at least 50 years old by the date on the calendar. It has a few issues, the lock has been drilled out and the locking bars are missing. If it had a badge and a handle for the front panel they are both gone. Other than that there is minimal paint loss and no dents. I got this at the flea market, was looking it over for 10 min and the lady said take it for $20 you seem interested enough. I thought that was a decent price and grabbed it.
Also are locking mechanisms available for this box.

Only thing I can say is those are the same side handles on my 1960/1970 craftsman chests which Waterloo made. Is there a date in top compartment of the chest left side near the front?

I just checked and found no date or numbers on the box unless they are hiding somewhere else.

The locking front that folds into the lid matches up with my Grandpa's old Mac toolbox. However, his box has silver drawer pulls, not bent ones like that.

His box has "Mac Tools" on an emblem on the locking lid, diagonally, in the lower-right corner. I can't find anything online that matches, so I'll try to get a photo next time I'm in front of it.

Post a picture of the drawer slides. You'll need a lock cylinder and lock rod. Might have to make your own lock rod.

Those are same slides and clips in my 67 10 drawer Craftsman. Think the clues are pointing to Waterloo maybe?

Agree, Waterloo. OP, look in the leftmost tray floor (socket tray, left, top), at the very front for the stampings.
