I have a cameo silhouette vinyl cutter and am looking for different font, size and colors to use on my harbor freight black tool boxes.

I have searched the subject and found peo Le have used magnetic labels and I am looking for something different to use to label the drawers. I have a 10 year old daughter who enjoys being in the garage with me while I work and definitely want to foster that!! My main point is that labeling the drawers will help with the confusion of which box and what belongs where. Thanks, Art

My tool boxes have always been rather fluid as my tool collection changes. I use an inexpensive office label printer to print labels which I stick to magnetic sheeting. I then cut the sheeting along the edges of the labels to make stick on labels that can be moved as needs change.

yes I'd like my daughter ( maybe my wife ) to know where my tools are and where to be placed after use, also in case I'm on shift.

My general shop refurbishment has provided me with many new metal workbenches with drawers--about 30+ new storage areas for stuff. Since it is all new and my memory is all old, I made up some magnetic signs to help me remember where I stashed things. You can see some of them in the background.

I sliced 3/16" pieces off a 2x4, made the labels on a laser printer, and hot glued magnetic strips to the back. You can see the details in my Woodworking 101 thread. So far, I have about two dozen and they are working great for me.

I printed the labels that I wanted out on paper, cut the to size, then laminated them and stuck a magnet to the back. Comes in very handy when I need my wife to get a tool for me.

I've always referred to my drawers as the on the the biggest sticker on it.
Blue tool box, yellow Jegs sticker, for example is the dewalt 20v drawer.

I think you answered your own question when you wrote you have a "Cameo" cutter.

Webster's defines cameo - as a technique of engraving upon a gem or other stone, as onyx, in such a way that an underlying stone of one color is exposed as a background for a low-relief design of another color.

How about magnetic Business card holders? Flexible magnet with self adhesive on one side. Print what you want. Stick to the magnet, cut to size

Ask daughter to download or draw graphics to print on labels to adhere.

Hope she finds pictures of ratchet wrenches, instead of "the unicorn drawer".

My neighbors daughter came over when I was putting labels on a new to me top box. She wanted to help with the labels... so Needed one that said KEYS... instead she typed PINES HOW ARE YOU? Printed it and put it on my box... it sits there to this day... on my KEY drawer... I think she was 10 years old at the time. Still makes me smile.

I envy the OP with a daughter to share these memory moments.

I'm allergic to kids so I have to limit my exposure.

Need pictures of what this label maker can do...

Labels on the drawer pulls in one of the big pluses with my HF44" box with two side cabinets. So many drawers, so many people in the house looking for things. I still need to finish the project of labels I started over 3 years ago.
One of my favorites is "Sharp Pointy Things" where I put all my razor knives and punches with sharp points.
