18% is normal for snap on. 9 percent for great. 28 for bad. If I rmeber right it gets charged once a year for interest

That is insane. Snap-On isn't a tool maker, they are a bank. Seriously, people should be able to finance with a credit card for less than that. http://www.bankrate.com/finance/credit-cards/credit-card-rates.aspx A bank should be able to give an unsecured loan for prime plus 1-2 (5-6%).

But this stuff is secured debt, too (at least the boxes where they can put a lien on them). Secured debt should be like prime (currently 3.5%).

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to threadjack, but this is just amazing. Seriously, 3 years at 18% is a 30% price premium. Folks just buy Harbor Frieght and save the bloomin' money, or take a loan out at your bank or credit union.

I don't think your familiar with the whole "Tech" situation...I know back in 98/99 when I was working Recon dept (College Job for Beer money) in a large GM Dealership, it SHOCKED me how SOME of these guys making 5x more then were so "poor" or should I say how Poorly they managed their money...I was taught real young by my parents basically the same thing Dave Ramsey teaches today... I used to buy odd tools like an extension here and a socket there for 4-5 bucks so they could swing a pack of smokes..

Pretty sad when a full time tech sells an 18 year old a 1/2" Drive, 12" Long Snappy Extension for 10.00 so he could grab a 6 pack of cold ones on his way home Friday night... So when you see these guys rockin SnapOn cordless drills, it may not be brand loyalty, it might be because Home Depot wont let them pay 10.00 a week on a Milwaukee Fuel set..

Rock and roll truck can't make any better deals than a normal dealer can, except custom boxes and colors he can waive those fees, everything else price, trade in amount is all up to the dealer, rebate ammount is handles by SO credit

Depends on your dealer level. Like I said before my loyalty discount is almost 5x what he got. Plantium dealers can pull better deals

Snap On corporate credit is similar to the rent to own furniture places.

The flipside is no one is holding a gun to anybody's head to purchase Snap On or any other tool brand.

I really don't get the angst that the Snap On name gets here. It's all voluntary for one to purchase from them.

Like I said its up to the driver,

It's up to the rock n roll driver, your truck driver is just there for the ride. He can't pull the deals on the box they do.

For instance, he had a 68 epiq repo with power top and hitch for 10k. Rock and roll was going to sell me a new one for that
