I am new to this forum but have found a lot of good information here. I am looking for some advice for restoring a Snap on toolbox. It is a KRA-307D made in 1972. I was given this tool box from a family member that had it in not so good storage for many years. It is missing the emblem, and the key. he drilled the lock before he gave it to me. I contacted Snap-on and they informed me that i could still get a replacement lock set and cam and screw online through them but I would have to get the emblem of a truck only. well after a couple weeks i am still waiting to hear back from the local dealer. I posted a thread here in the wanted section looking for the period correct emblem but no luck yet. I missed out on one just last week on ebay. My cable and internet went out in my entire area and was not able to get my final bid in. I even tried collecting snap-on .com, no luck. I don't really want to by a fake of ebay either. The newer emblems don't even look like what I need. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
