This guy has some serious money invested in his home shop and I thought some of you would enjoy seeing this video. It does move semi-fast, without much noise to distract you.

I bet his insurance agent just loves him and I wonder what he tells his wife about how much money he has invested..."oh honey not much money".

Sigh only in my wildest dreams!

He has to be a snap on dealer. If not then that's a unreal nearly all new tool collection and he gave the salesman an excellent bonus

Man, it was a long way thru that box before I saw a harbor freight tool lol. But I don't think there's anyone who doesn't have a grinder or two.

If I had that much stuff that I needed to complete my jobs, I had better be very easily out of every other debt because of that job.

Its not a home shop, its a business. He has some other videos of tractors taken apart.

Wow, huge collection, But a lot of wasted space.

That's all I could focus on during the video, could probably fit all of that in the smaller of the two boxes. But, that's also what I've seen first hand from guys with the big 4 bay boxes, lots of half full or less drawers.

My thoughts as well. Also, why not have all like items in same box. He had wrenches in 2 different boxes. If it were me, that first box would have all common hand tools, the second specialty tools, the third would stay the same with all the bits and what not that get rarely used. To each his own though.
I hate when they show us a drawer full of plastic cases that read snap on, but don't say what's inside them. :dunno:

Who knows?
Yep. Nice video. I caught it last year when he first uploaded it.

Nice touch having the Ruger in there too. He's got a great selection going on there.

And a lot redundancy.....don't get me wrong, I have a dozen 3/8 ratchets too, but the stuff like the "service sets" (handful of sockets with a ratchet and a couple of extensions) which are just duplicating what's in other drawers / assortment racks, seem ridiculous / waste of money to me....but, hey, it's his money, so whatever.....

I prefer service sets over socket rails. I grab a set, bring it under hood, under car, on the road or wherever I have to with everything nice and neat. Nothing pisses me off more then squirming under a car just to find I have wrong socket or need another extension, socket, whatever.

It's the first time I have noticed a hand gun being in a tool chest drawer. Why is it there? Does it give new meaning to PB Blaster? Maybe it is being used for those stuck or stubborn fasteners. Does Snap-On sell guns now? They must be expensive.

I tend to keep one in a lock box in my box. A few years ago, at my last shop, there was a manhunt that landed in the treeline about a 1000 feet from my shop. The dude was running towards our shop when they finally landed a Taser on him. My master tech had a little .380 in his hand until it was resolved sometimes you gotta protect your investment.

I have more boxes with much less space between the tools.
And I have several traveling kits.
Off to go visit my snap on guy, can not work today. My knee that needs a replacement has offset the hip so I am unable to stand or walk any distance.

It would be interesting to figure how many dollars worth of tools and equipment he has in that shop. Like someone said above,he would have to be bringing in a lot of work to pay for all of it. I know the local John Deere shop now charges $125 an hour to even look at your implements or tractors and nobody gets a break on parts or labor.

If I had 100K in tools (or more, I didn't watch all of the video) I would have a security measure in the box as well

The entire video kept reminding me how AvE would quote "investment” when using his snap on tools. It looks like (at the shallow surface) that the guy polishes them more than he uses them.

Well, you don't need anything close to all that space to do mechanical work to tractors. Im sure a lot of the tools are hardly ever used, especially the metric.

Better to have it and not need it though.

Nice set up for sure but I'd rather not have so many drawers to go through and so much open space in each drawer. I feel like I have a good portion of the same hand tools stuffed in a triple bank.

I have more space then that and do lawnmowers, you need space to store more then one project at a time. People do not pick up equipment the second it is done. And to make money you need to work on more the one item a day.

We're talking about tool box storage space, not the shop. ;)

His drill bit game is strong, very strong. The rest, although clean, high end and plentiful, is pretty standard fare.
