I'm trying to find truck box trays to fit along the edges and organize it a little bit more, I've seen the TSC for $15 and craftsmen ones for $25. Does anyone have a link to cheaper ones?

Haha I know, i'm trying to be as frugal as possible because i'm more concerned with building my tool collection. i'm just starting out with my own tools and its become quite costly. I searched through HF today and couldn't find anything. figured throwing out something couldn't hurt...but i see where you're coming from!

I've seen some red ones listed around here from time to time, but any time I have some extra scratch and think about actually trying to order them I never can find a post or a link!

If you have some fab skills, you can bend up some sheet metal and make your own. I build a light duty brake to bend mine but you can find pics on the net or even here about bending sheetmetal. Once I had mine bent up, I welded it but you could easily use pop rivets to get the same effect.

I also painted it black and used some spray on bedliner to coat the inside.

Loaded up in the 3/8" drive drawer.

Dollar stores are an easy source of plastic organizing trays for this purpose and are available in a number of colors for identification. I use a series of them in my screwdriver drawer of the larger rolling box in the center- slotted on the left, Phillips on the right, misc in the trays in the middle. This keeps everything from rolling around too much as well.

Now making your own- that's not a bad idea. If only as an excuse to break out the sheet metal brake and have fun fabbing up something for practice. I don't have a *need* for such, but it would be fun.
