Tool box upgrade

My masterforce toolbox is getting abit tight. Its a 41 inch with the side cab and no topper. I use this box everyday at work and have a 40 inch snappy heratige box at home. Menards is having a sale on the 56 inch lower for 480 after rebates, is this box going to be any bigger than my current one? I also was looking at the 36 inch top box which will be on sale for about 225. My final option is that i found a guy on craigslist that would be willing to take my snappy plus $750 for a 1 year old classic 78 and do you think that would be a worthwhile upgrade(I would bring the masterforce home and leave the snap on at work). Can you guys please share your opinions.

Tool box companies are a lot too fond of giving a size of a box in cubic inches. What really matter more is No. of drawers and the square footage. (Most drawers are only filed to an inch or so high when placing bare tools in them, the rest is wasted)

So ask yourself the same question and look at how many drawers, by how wide and deep, front to rear. that will give you a better perspective for practical storage.

What about bolting a 26" Masterforce box together with your 41" as a defacto side box?

Something I've thought about anyway. You'd gain quite a bit of space with the smaller drawers and still be near the length of the 56" box, if thats an issue.
