I'm curious as to what you guys think these if they're a deal or not. I wish I had the money to buy one, I could use the storage.

The local hardware store has a S-O KRA series ( dont remember the exact number off hand) 36" tool box for 1200$, looks brand new (likely it is). I looked it up out of curiousitiy one time and it goes for around 2400ish new off the website.

This set of boxes has been for sale for the last few years, seen it listed on ebay once and and when it ended it was 600ish reserve not met. It's been on craigslist a couple of times since

I do kinda like the color.

I get that combo in trade pretty regularly, guys typically buy it while they are in tech school, and pay a lot under list, so there are a ton of them out there. When I sell one, I typically get about $800 to $1000 if they are in good shape. Of course I finance them on the truck, so I would think a private party "cash price" would be $600 to $800 depending on condition.

Agreed - $600.00 & it would be a nice set for home auto enthusiasts. The drawback is limited room for the typical power tools used today. Buffers, circular saws, Battery Powered Drills and Drivers that usually live in their original case...

If you have all that - then you usually need an additional storage cabinet to keep them in...

Also - being YELLOW it will be hard to find matching side cabinets... Red is not so hard to add on too over time..

FWIW,
Carl B.
