Great box, much stronger than Craftsman until you get into the pro boxes. Very strong

Nutcase,

You are on the right track with the HF 13-drawer cabinet. You can't go wrong with that unit, new or used. It's well made and well laid out, and you can always expand it with side boxes and/or the top chest. The only thing it doesn't come with is "bragging rights"... which are much overrated and very expensive.

Git 'er done and start loading tools. Then post some photo's...

I'm buying one later today. I found a couple of nice used SO, Mac, and Matco boxes locally for good prices that I was going to fill with my recently acquired SO and Cornwell tools. I went to HF to give that box a last look over and decided I'd rather buy that box and $1k worth of more SO and Cornwell tools than just a name brand box.

Umm, that thread has like 200 pictures of the specific box you are talking about. You don't even have to search (I did it for you!). All you have to do is click! :lol_hitti

I sold a set recently and almost kept them to replace a set of older Husky pro boxes I have in my cyl head shop. I just didn't want to have to switch them out.

56 inch box from Masterforce bought at Menards for $700.00.

I got mine for $650.00. I asked for a discount since the other boxes were on sale.

It is a sweet box

I think the quality of the harbor freight box has went down alot, i bought one about 6 years ago and it was solid and very well built, used it at my job everyday for 3yrs with no problems, my brother just bought one for his home garage and the first one was severely twisted, it's wheels were all loose and it was very uneven, he returned it for another one and the next one had 2 defective drawers and had like 4 paint chips on it that were touched up at the assembly plant, he was pissed, returned that one for a refund, we talked to the employee at HF and he told us that they are having alot of returns on that box nowadays and it seems that the quality isn't as good as they used to be, probably cutting corners due to very high sales.......

I'd be afraid of you working on my car, if after all this time you haven't figured out a roller box to purchase yet! :shocking: :shocking: :shocking: :shocking:
