That's more or less what I'm planning on. Glad to see it seems to work. Last time I had to move my toolbox it was a considerably smaller and lighter box, and I just emptied the tools out of it and we lifted it into the back of my truck.

Winch + lift strap.
dont wrap the strap around the box
wrap it around the wheels

Not IMHO.
#1. the angle of pull pulls the strap into the wheels.
#2. The box is more tippy due to the strap being so low.
#3. It drags the strap ($$$$) and winch line across the edge of the trailer.
#4. It places the stress of the entire box on two wheels.
