This is the cabinet I built to help protect and store some of my bulkier tools in the garage. I'm new to the forum and wanted to get y'all's input.

I think you need a bigger dropcloth when you paint... lol.

Looks like you thought things out well.

Nice, I plan on making a drawer cabinet when I get some free time for my shop.

Hardware hut has good prices on slides and just about everything.

I think that's awesome. I've been trying to figure out a way to get all of the items that need to be kept in their organized trays out of my toolbox to open up some room as well. Maybe I just need to buy a car, or build something that would work for me like you did.

Did you put any reinforcement on the back of the pegboard? Is it heavy enough that it won't begin to sag or rack after having weight on it for awhile?
Otherwise well thought out. Glad you put it on casters.

Terranova I am debating that. The peg board is on the same sliders as the miter saw drawer. It looks sturdy so far. I'm glad its on casters too. 5/8ths plywood wasn't light.

Nice job. Nothing beats custom built storage. Unfortunately now that you have joined this board, I predict you will quickly outgrow it.

Welcome and thanks for sharing.

Nice Job; well thought out and +2 on the door's, in my shop it's the mud dobbers that get into every nook and cranny.

Thanks usmc_noma. I don't have plans for doors. I do all my cutting outside and the garage stays generally clean.

Nice work - I like the way you used the plywood for custom shelves. How did you attach it at the edges? I've used plywood that way before, and I've used nails, screws, glue, etc., but I haven't decided which works best yet.

I built my over head cabinets out of 3/4" too. After I got them assembled I was like "oh ****, am i gonna be able to get these eight feet up?!" Lol. I picked up the "over build" habit from my dad. Build that that ******* like a tank!

I like it! I need a way to wrangle my Stanley bin boxes. I'm thinking I may build one of these, but with a stationary shelf with an open back for my planer.

Nice job. I have to show this to my wife. Looks like just the ticket for her furniture shop.
