Most people upload them to a site like photobucket and then paste the image code in the thread.

If you have them hosted on a site put the URL into the img box brackets.

OR you can just add it as an attachment at the bottom, click on "manage attachments"

Hi Folks

Thanks for the help.Appreciated.

Problem is,when you say 'host them on a site',if you are unfamiliar with the procedure of doing that,I don't think, for the uninitiated, I've ever seen anything more uncomprehensible and undecipherable than those photo sites.

I do remember trying to do this some years ago and coming to the same conclusion.I mean who sets these things up?? It's like ''lets make the most confusing and generally meaningless site we possibly can''.It's just a mass of uploads, adverts ,downloads, all out of sequence, nothing follows on in a way I can understand.Keeps on giving you choices for stuff you don't want or less even understand.

If you are familiar with these sites, yes,it is a piece of cake, like knowing your way out of a maze in advance. If you're not,..................

All I want to do is share some pictures with this great site, but I've hit this brick wall. Why can't these photo site people just do a meaningful sequential progression through that follows naturally to the next section, and gets you your photos?

It's not that difficult once you do it a time or two.
I don't use a hosting site. I copy them from my hard drive.
Are you using windows or a Mac? Since I am a Mac user hopefully someone else will chime in as to how to proceed from windows.

After clicking on the "Go Advanced" The area below is marked "Additional Options"
The second area in there is marked "managed attachments" Click on that. It will bring up a separate box, which will allow you to "choose a file" You will have to know the file name or number you want to choose. Once you select it click on "upload"

And always remember that Google is your friend. You can ask specific how to questions and usually find the answer.
I am also confident that there are enough helpful people here, you will be posting pics of that tool cart soon.

Follow what picshooter said about the attachments. If you receive and error, post that error on here and we will go from there. Hopefully you won't receive an error and it will work the 1st time.

In my opinion, FLICKR is the best free photo hosting service available today.

I also edit my pictures using PicMonkey, another free web tool.

Both are easy to learn and easy use.

I don't have enough stored photos to warrant a flickr or other account.(Just a few hundred)

I also use iPhoto to do basic editing and resizing. I just drag it to my desktop and attach it.

Rothko , is the toolbox the collapsable one you bought off eBay ?,
I'd love to see some close ups of the tray above the lock, mine has stamped "pat applied for"
There may be more to the left but my tray is rusty .
If you are missing the key my local locksmith had blanks in stock

Hi Bigplum

Will post some pictures soon.I'm nearly there with that.
Further mystery, same cart as you but mine has no lock.Hmm ?

We will have to find out what the origin of the trolley is.I'm sure I've seen these in use but a very long time ago.

Mine has a 'snap on' aluminium logo, lettering cut through, but I'm starting to think it has been stuck on.

Let me get the last bit of the posting procedure sorted out and I'll get the pictures up pronto.

If you already have it on photobucket, you are 85% of the way there. Just copy and past the image URL into your post and put these around it
