I have been looking to replace my 30 year old tool chest with a larger one as I have run out of room in my current one (Craftsman). I have narrowed it down to the Kennedy K2000 Maintenance Pro Series or the Proto 440SS Series. I was wondering if anyone had either of these tool chests and roller cabinets, and if so, could give me your opinion on them. Also, if I were to pick the Kennedy K2000 Maintenance Pro series I would like to know how high the lid on the top chest must be opened for the drawers to open as I have limited height.

Thanks!

Are you open to only these or have you looked at other options? If you want too look at other options, I would head to hf and take a look at the official box of the garage journal

:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown: the HF 44" :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
Or any of the us general stuff besides the kennedy knock off black box that goes for $190 ish. Are you buying these boxes new or used? If used then I would get a kennedy since they have absolutely horrendous resale value and which means you might find one cheap.

I have looked at other chests (only have 41-1/2" of width to work with), but I was looking for a quality American made chest (new if possible) as I don't have the funds for a Snap-On league product.

Thanks.
