Hello folks, I'm looking to see if this is even a possibility. I'm wondering if there are any tool chests out there that have a bank of 42" wide drawers say 6 or 7 tall instead of the 1 wide drawer on top and smaller drawers below. The actual minimum size i can go is 40" but I don't want to go wider than say 50". Any leads or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Costco always seems to have something decent in that 40-42" width. Mine is 25 years old and is better quality than my other 2 boxes.

My 36" box (Mastercraft), the deeper full-width drawers are flimsy and one set of tracks failed.

If you want an excellent quality box that will stand up to just about anything and hold hundreds of pounds of stuff in each drawer consider this one. If budget is much of a concern, ignore my suggestion.

There are similar offerings from Vidmar and Rousseau. Tekton resells some Rousseau boxes with free shipping to the 48 lower. You’ll also get 10% back for future purchases. Rousseau is made in Canada.

I should have mentioned that I'm not looking for a "heavy duty" box. Long as the drawers will hold say 20-25lb per wide drawer will be enough for what I'm looking for. This will not persay be used as tool storage. I'm looking for something like the tekton box mentioned above but not quite to that expense for use in my gun cellar. I like the butcher block top as a good work surface when tearing down and or assembling my guns.

For some reason, I can't get a link on my phone, but if you can go wider, home depot had a "standard duty" box that is about 60" wide but had a bank of 47" drawers and it's only a grand.

40" width, 20" depth. Made around 1990 so you'd have to find used. They still support with parts.

As mentioned, Vidmar also.
