The wife said no more Jeep parts so I need to come up with some tools I didn't know I needed. What's on your list? :dunno:

I'll probably be getting a 3/8 fuel impact. And a bent handle SK ratchet for sure.

But I'm getting ready to buy about 300 acres so I should probably ask for a chainsaw.

It kinda takes the fun out of it. If you're going to get someone what they want, and they're gonna get you what you want, why don't you each just buy what you want? I mean, I would rather have a pair of Knipex pliers over the seasonal Craftsman gimmick, but I don't have the authority to tell someone to get me what I want. It's a gift, it's the thought that counts. Be happy you got anything at all.

Yeah I can understand that but 90% of the time now it's not even a gift it's a gift card.

My wife had never failed to go out on her own and surprise me with a little something extra. I keep my Amazon wishlist well loaded with tools for just this purpose. :lol_hitti

My GF gets mad at me because I will just go and buy the things I want, she asks me to reserve a list of things that I won't buy so she can at least get a few of them. Never had her tell me that I can get anything but "blank", not sure I would be happy about that.

As for tools, I want a crud thug, but that is out of her price range, luckily Santa and I go way back.

She always asks for a list for different occasions and the last few years its pretty much been all jeep parts while I was building my TJ, now that its "done" I think she just wants to get me something different. I bought so many tools in the last two years between the jeep and the new house I have no idea what put on the list.

So far I'm thinking a SWAG 12t press brake kit, HF tubing roll bender or a impact driver for either my Craftsman 19.2 or 18v dewalt kits and some LI battery's. I do a lot of metal fab and just got a plasma cutter recently so any cool guides or jigs that make cutting shapes out easy would be good.

Got a Bosch heated jacket on the list if I can resist buying it before she does. I'm wanting a Fluke 233 if I get that I can wait until Christmas on the jacket.

I've been wanting a Rigid 18" aluminum pipe wrench. A new pipe snake, a Klein 50' fish tape, a nice extension cord, a few more Matco screwdrivers (cabinet drivers), a Snap On 5/8" magnetic spark plug socket, and a Johnson T bevel.

Ihave an amazon wish list with a handful of things on it. Kind of a reminder for things to be on the look out for at pawn shops and sales...BUT it also serves as a good wish list for the girlfriend when she is at a loss for birthday and christmas. So I guess I technically have stuff picked out but I am really apreciative and suprised when it shows up out of the blue.

This also saves her from possibly getting me a duplicate of something I dont need a duplicate of. Although I have some things picked out to upgrade my current tools, the old will be rotated into the truck tool boxes.

Re: Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

I picked up one from Tractor Supply last year on BF. They usually have a sale running on them.

Those cannons are exactly what we're looking at. I love the giant 80 gun but when the 64 is on sale for Black Friday a guy could buy two of those for the price of the 80...

  • Knipex Pliers Wrenches
  • Karstar 48 Piece Thread Restorer Kit
  • Blue Spruce Tool Fishtail Chisels
  • A solution for keeping the groceries from sliding around in the bed of my truck.
  • Benchcrafted Moxon Vise (hardware only)

There are some other tools that I'll be picking up myself over the next year. Nobody who's likely to buy me gifts is in any position to be getting 'em, so I'll squeeze the wallet myself.

I'm a new homeowner and I asked for new garden hoses. The old, stiff brittle ones I have are enough to drive you to drinking!!
