Tool Display Board Kool-Aid

My jaw dropped when I saw this. I had several Crescent branded boards, including this one, prior to selling all non-Blackhawk displays last year. In general, except for Snap-on and highly unusual boards, a price like this is just bonkers!

Bidding seems to be one fellow in particular going hot and heavy against everyone else.

The wrenches themselves? I found Crescent brand wrenches to be difficult to obtain. Still, I would never pay more than a handful of dollars for any of them.

I got in a pretty heated bidding war with a guy over a GE lightbulb display. He took it to the stratosphere. A couple of years ago I worked selling coins and currency. One guy on eBay bought a note that had a matching serial to one I had. I tried to buy it from him, offered him 2 comparable notes, etc. but he wouldn't budge. After he kept sniping me, I made him pay hard for it.

...still don't have that damned bill he bought.

Is this actually your board for sale? If so I would like to apologize in advance for this comment, but to me it looks like the high bidder placed 2 fairly high bids, he seems to really want it. The other bidder just seems to be bumping up the high bid a little at a time. This type of bidding to me doesn't make sense because if you become the high bidder it is easy to see your pattern and know that you only bid over the high bidder by a few bucks in the end. Its like ooh I think its worth $5 more than I did 5 min ago. I always wondered if bidding like this is more likely the result of the seller using a second account to drive up the bid? Just a thought of mine I am not sure that this is accurate, it just seems like it to me.
