Where can I get reasonable priced tool drawer foam? Not pink. What are the available thicknesses? Is it more cost effective to buy 1" foam and glue together additional sheets for added thickness?

Workout mats. Many colors to pick from so you can avoid pink. Easy to cut to size. I mark and cut around the tool then remove the cutout and slice 1/8 off the cut out and stuff it into the bottom of the tool "well" to pad the bottom and prevent rattling.

That's a good idea....I never thought to do that.
I usually get the Craftsman stuff. A friend of mine goes to Costco and said that hey had tool boxes and "accessories" there and that the prices were good. I don't have a membership, but might be worth checking if you do.

I've been using the black rubber carpet runners from Home Depot and Lowe's for the drawer bottoms. They are thick, tough, and spill resistant. I've found a local foam company that sells 4'x8' sheets in various thicknesses. They also sell it a closed or open cell. I will get some soon now that I have a cargo van to transport stuff.

x2 on workout mats. I got a bunch of yoga mats from work after they canceled the yoga program. I lined the drawers entirely because I knew I'm too much of a slob to get everything back where it goes on the first try.

I got the mesh drawer liners from HF when they were on sale w/20% off coupon. I put them over my cheapo drawer liners that came with my HF box. They work well and i get them for $4.50-5 a roll. But if i had to do it again, i'd get the yoga mats, and get them in a color i wanted.

I don't really like walmart but bought the kitchen drawer shelf liner which is the same as craftsman stuff for almost half the price. This was 2 years ago, haven't looked lately.

I picked up 4' x 9' x 1-1/2" black foam plank Friday for $36.00. Then I bought 130W hot knife from Harbor Freight for $16.00. I start fitting pieces today.

Where did you pick it up from? Let us also see some pics of when you get finished.

Local packaging place. All kinds of thickness and colors. I wanted to do a white bottom piece with a blue top layer so I can easily see if a tool is missing from its home. However, all the foam was being used for orders except some black planks so I went with that.

Thanks,
Gary
