If like me you have tool fever you can not pass by a deal be it big or small and do you see something and say " I don't need it now but I may later on " so come on fess up and tell all what was the tool and the deal that set your hart going mine was this

Yes I do the exact same thing pick them up now for future jobs nice welder you have I have a lincon ac/dc 205 tig and yes I blame the tool makers also thay bring all new gear out and you just have to go have a look it's deadly having a look soon turns in to putting it on the back of the truck and having the mac and snap on trucks coming round to work well that just adds fuel to the fire

Over hear in the uk I like going round the auto jumble and rummaging around for bits and bobs I find all kinds of nice old tools you find some good stuff old brands you can no longer get and brands you can still get but before thay started making stuff in China the uk's tool market is so so poor full of cheap gear that will not last the job out nevertheless last a lifetime so I tend to buy usa hand tools and German power tools like bosch I do like american power tools but you don't tend to find many other than snap on and millwakee

I've got a cans and bottle recycling center close to my house. Cool thing is they know not to just scrap tools for scrap metal. They have a pile of tools/nails screws that still can be used that they sell to customers. I've been going there 2-4x a week so they know me there and i get most all my stuff for $1 a tool.
So I believe I only have a "little" habit. To OP: your Snap-On box purchase is a pretty ********* addiction man. One junkie to another :lol_hitti

Yep I don't do it by half's I was looking for one saw it and that was that I like a good deal but my addiction has limits to be honest I don't go out drinking a lot so I like to spend my spare cash on something I love my tools thay are not for show I make my money with them and if it makes the job easier/faster then it's in the box lol

i dont buy much anymore, i've been wrenching for 30 years now...

if i do it's usually something (single socket or wrench) i NEED for work, or if i find truck or industrial brand wrenches and sockets for $1 at a pawn shop, i'll grab them if i have any cash on me.

for the most part my tool buying is done with "disposable income" ie: scrap money, or an occasional side job for a neighbor.

It's impossible to pass up a deal. Got someone to go to Menard's for me (none within hundreds of miles here). Do I need stubby wrenches and x-beam wrenches? No. I hardly use wrenches at all, but if I ever need one, I will have the choice of rp, stubby, or x-beam. Now I just need offset and WrightGrip and reversable ratcheting and...

It never ends. ******* tool makers make 20 different types of wrenches, and I have to have them all.

Anyway, I have lots of stuff I don't "need." Didn't need a Lincoln 225 stick welder. Or a pressure washer. Or a rotary hammer drill. Or a HD drill. Or a worm drive saw. Or a set of O/A torches. But it was $300 for it all. Impossible to pass up :lol.

only item i dont have multiples of is the pressure washer
but, that is a nice box.
