Hello all. I don't post here much but lurk a lot. Got excited finding this vise yesterday since I've been looking for 1 for a long time and their usually priced high.

Also found these which the owner said they were Craftsman collectors tools. They have serial numbers on them. Can find much about them....

Anyone know anything about them?

Nice collection. What is the name on the hand tools? They seem like an odd choice for Craftsman Collector Tools. The vise looks like it could be late 1980's or early 90's. Sears 100th anniversary fell about that same time, but if the hand tools were anniversary items, they would surely say so. Looking at them, I can't make up my mind if they were intended to be used, or not.

They were sold as "collector's items" for the 100th anniversary. Came in a cardboard box, and seemed to spark people's interest at the time because they were "limited edition". One keeps coming up on CL around here, nobody bites even when marked down cheap.

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll throw it up on eBay. I don't have any use for more collections. Vise on the other hand I'll clean up and get some good use out of

The old saying goes that anything marked as, "collectors" surely is not.

Even so, American made Craftsman stuff is still good to grab if the price is right.
