Without spending $100+ for the official tool are there any cheaper crimper to crimp those pins.. I have been told needle nose pliers but I havn't been able to do a very good job with them.. I have only a few 3 pin'ers to do after all.

2 dozen donuts to the local dealership service dept. usually does the trick for me.

Mac tools, TCT1028 will do it. It's a crimper with 5 sizes. It's not as good as the real deal. The weatherpack tool crimps two crimps at once, the terminal and the seal are seperate crimps. The MAc tool does it, if you take your time. You will have to straighten the terminal after using the Mac tool, you'll see what I mean when you do it. It will probably run you about $40.

I have that tool, great to have, better than other plier types i have seen. The jaws stay parallel. They will terminate weatherpacks. I even bought some splices to use with it i hate **** connectors and these are even cheaper only use them when im doing a quick job i usually just solder the wire.

Check on E-bay, I gave $20 each for the set in my box and the spare set in my truck. I picked up one of the Mac terminal sets in the gray plastic box for $10 also. The weather pacs are common on farm equipment.
