Tool Freak from Indy

I first found this site in 2005 lurked on and off. I love tools, tinkering, fixing things, DIY'ing. Moved to Indy from St. Louis 2 1/2 years ago. Although I don't own my home right now, we're looking to purchase again and I'm looking forward to DIY'ing again.

I'm in I.T. and I have a lot of datacomm tools and do a lot of low voltage work.

My wife doesn't understand my love of tools, but when something goes awry she is grateful I have a tool to fix most anything!

Monte: welcome to the forum. bee careful if you are too handy because as Tim the Tool Man used to say to his wife "break something and i can fix it".

I've been married 30 years and the requests to fix something don't stop so occasionally i have to call a pro. i can tell you it helps if you do the research and do the work because your tool spending doesn't become an issue as often.

have any pictures to post of your garage, tools or favorite cars? or just some cool stuff in the area you live in?

I wish I had a cool garage. We're renting our house right now, until we find a good one. We owned our house in St. Louis, and I had a nice setup there. Didn't have pictures taken..

Right now, my tools are kind of piled up, no peg board (don't want to deal with landlord)... I'd like to go down gasoline alley someday during the Indy 500 and check out the tool rigs they've got down there
