Okay, question - are there any tool gifts that you'd recommend for under $5? You know, things that you'd like to receive yourselves.

I'm mainly interested in items eligible for free super saver shipping or prime shipping on Amazon.com.

I'll discuss my reasons another time. Right now there are three such products that I know of, but more would be great.

For under $5, that you would want to receive as a gift? The cheapest 6-in-1 that I know of that is quality is $7.

ive seen some decent ones (not the best but good enough for anyone using a $5 tool) that can be had right at the $5 mark

Some of these are great ideas!

I have plenty of $5-10 suggestions already though.

Also, the $5 should include shipping! $3.95 + $6 shipping isn't <$5.

How about one thing every one always forgets where it's at? A tread depth gauge. I swear there are at least 5 of them in my garage (somewhere) and I bought another this week to check the tires on my oldest's car.

I was at Advanced Auto the other day and they had some small LED flashlights up by the registers. Maybe the size of a roll of quarters or so. Pretty bright and only something like $2.89. I'm going back to pick up about a half a dozen more to put in the glovebox of the cars, toolbox, and a few drawers in the house.

Just do a search on amazon for items under $5 with free super saver shipping, no point in us guessing what you might need.

I usually "fill" to get free shipping with a LONG list from my wife. ;) or something from Lisle or Thexton.

I'm not looking for what I need, I'm looking for what you guys might want.

I don't need any fillers - I pay the $80 a year for Prime membership.

holy cow shipping included?
I can't think of anything I want for $1-$2

Maybe a spark plug gap tool, or a cheap tire pressure gauge.

billymade's pocket screwdriver idea is very good.

Here's another one courtesy of billymade - the ratchet rebuild tool to hold the ball bearing in place - it's $1, free shipping. Probably not a lot of people have one.

That's why Amazon's catalog is preferred, with Prime, shipping is free on super saver shipping eligible items with no minimum order amount. So $5 is $5.

I'm looking for gift ideas, and my rationale was that two $5 gifts might be better than one $10 gift, but I guess $5 might just be too little an amount.

I got a little LED light that clips to the brim of a ball cap as a gift and I use it all the time. I didn't check Amazon but they should be around $5 if they have them.
