Tool haul

Found this haul on offer up. Basically a tool box full of usa made files tap handles masonry stuff. What caught my eye was the ratchet, but then I realized it was full of a complete set of Nicholson files. I coughed up 60$ without any argument

I agree! I have a couple Simonds, but most of my files are Nicholson from when they were still made in the US. Nice ratchet too!

From a distance that almost looks like a Starrett combination square.

Said it was his dad's work box. Most of the files look unused. Also found a nice miller falls hand vise. My boss saw that and got really excited about that so l let him have it.

Nice find, I would have probably broke my wrist going for $60. That ratchet is especially nice

It's a weird little 3/8 vlchek. Don't know much about them other than there was a craftsman version in 1/2. Little guy works good.

Don't know. It's been painted, was army green originally.
