In seeing a couple recent threads about yard sale finds, I came across an items this past summer which I think I have accurately ID'd as well as one item I dont know about yet.

The first is this ratcheting screwdriver.

I cant get any good shots of the wording on it, but it reads:

Yankee No. 15
North Bros. Mfg Co.
Phil. Pat USA
Pat. Nov 2.97 - May 1.06

Am I correct that this is one of the first ratcheting screwdrivers from turn of the century? What does something like this sell for?

The second is a file:

I have not been able to ID anything about it.

Here is the close-up of the manufacturer marking:

It appears to say ARC - DE, USA.

Which company made this? And is there a market for these items?

The screwdriver is what allot of people just call yankee screwdriver or a push drill. They still make them and they are extremely common at flea markets and yard sales for a dollar or two.

These are the push drill style Yankee screwdrivers

The one pictured appears more like a rotational ratcheting screwdriver.
