This came with a bunch of automotive tools, mostly pullers and spring compressors. Both of the "arms" are the same, one is fixed at the end with an e-clip, the other moves along the threaded rod. Overall length is about 10", each arm is about 4" long. The hex head has a square for a 3/8" ratchet. Some kind of stretcher, I suppose, but for what?IMG_20210807_224853989.jpg

It’s a brake shoe spreader tool. Handy for spreading rear drum brake shoes slightly apart for quick change of a wheel cylinder without any disassembly.

I'd buy that. The horz slot catches the edge of the shoe and the hole is to allow the vert part to fit in.

They actually work well. A mechanic I used to work with had one. We used it a lot back when drum brake work was more common. I think it was made by Cal-Van.

Not many applications except for swapping a wheel cylinder or brake anchor pin without teardown. It was a real warranty time crusher back in its day.
