Found this at a local goodwill...just curious what it's used for?

The name SUNNEN is stamped on them....

Looks like a valve spring tool, used to compress a valve spring.

Interesting. They seemed 'old' and were asking $5 each, but I didn't get them but was tempted just because of the build/style of them.

Used where the spring is captured in the block like the ford flathead . Will not work on modern engines that require a C frame valve spring compressor.

i was gonna say they were for flatheads, fords come to mind 1st, but maybe would work on old continenetal FH engines too.

depending on big they are, they might work on some lawmower engines as well.

you could be the only guy on the block with vintage FH valve spring compressors !:bowdown:

Valve spring compressor, very vintage but may work on some newer stuff
They are a pain in the hand to use but work well when needed.
Go get them and if you don't want or need them I will pay you to ship them to me
