Hello all. I picked up this green handled tool at an Estate Sale yesterday. It was in a box along with the other two pictured items. I don't know if it's tube flaring related or if belongs to a set. I got them all for a four bucks. Could someone ID the tool and explain it's purpose. Thanks in advance.

Kinda reminds me of a machinists telescoping gauge ( snap gauge ). Are there any markings on it?

The piece that slides inside the shaft does not protrude past the end of the opening of the shaft. It stop right there. It appears the handle and shaft were welded. I overlooked that part.
