Yup small engine connecting rod. Like a dirt bike or similar.

Thanks for the replies. A friend gave it to me yesterday to identify. I'll find a use for it other than it's intended purpose.

Its a wrench for really rounded off nuts. Makes them nice and smooth after your adjustable has done its damage.

Pin is tapered on each end, Center is sized for the connecting rod, tapers go through flywheels and are threaded on the ends for nuts. Flywheels are balanced and trued on a trueing stand for concentricity and parallel orientation. Middle of flywheels have shafts that go through the cases. That’s how Harley-Davidson works, anyway.

the crankshaft in this case is probably pinned & pressed together, trued and balanced . it's not something you do on a shop press at home.
a connecting rod with that design take a lot higher rpm .
