I’ve got this set of 4 tools that are a mystery to me. If I recall they came in a huge box of leftovers from a machine tool auction several years ago. They are labeled as Norton Machine Works, with a patent date of 1936. I cleaned up the largest one a bit. The shank looks similar to something that might be used in a brace, but beyond that I’m at a loss. Any thoughts?

I’m going to guess you’re exactly right, lol, that was quick! Your google skills are better than mine, I did give it a go to do my own search and after getting stumped decided to seek the wisdom of GJ.

Too bad I’m not into steam engines and boilers I guess!
