My dad served in WW II, and he started and ran a long successful construction company when the war ended. He was a bit of a hoarder when it came to tools and he never got rid of anything. He died in 2009 and I’m still sorting through his tools. To that point, any idea what these presses were built to do? Thanks!

9075, 76, 77 is an upside down saw vise.
Clamp it to a bench & hold the saw for filing.

Grommets, rivets, snaps, any of the above.
Sometimes I think we should have a FAQ section with a couple of pics of saw vices just to save time...
