I just purchased a 56 inch chest and cabinet and was interested in hearing or seeing some ideas on organizing (tool holders) for sockets and stuff. This chest has massive full length top shelf that I want to store all of my sockets in. The commercial tool holders are too small and not to mention costly. Has anyone fabricated their own?

THanks, I am new to the board, and didn't know what topic to put in the search for this subject, will try again.

It's all good man. I always have a hard time trying to figure out how everyone else worded it, and between my bad spelling and everyone elses sometimes it makes it hard. Then someone will have posted pictures that no longer work, etc. Or do a search, and you'll find a post saying to do a search :lol_hitti

Your best bet is to find some of the tool box threads that are floating around and seeing what they did. A picture really is worth a thousand words, especially online.

If you still have questions though, don't be afraid to ask.

Thnks everyone, I think I have come up with a home made tool holder that might serve my purpose. I will let you know how it turns out when finished.
