Im fairly new here, read a lot on here. Im adding on to my pole barn garage, which ive never done anything like this before, its a learn as i go project.
I need to remove some of the nails with the rubber on them so i can slide some metal up under the existing roof metal. So my question, is there a tool made for removing these nails without damaging the existing metal roofing?
Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Try using a small chuck of wood or metal to fan out the load when using your claw hammer. This will help minimize the damage to the tin.

Google "sliding nail puller" not sure if that is actually what you call what I'm thinking of. It has a pair of pinchers like a crab that grabs the nail head. and you pry the nail out. Some models have a weighted slide on the handle that you can slide up and down to help pull the nail out. Sorry this is the best way I know how to describe this.nail puller.jpg
