I had to sacrifice a craftsman socket to the tool Gods to get my wheel locks off the car. I looked for several days for the stupid key, but no joy. Anyways, with a 15/16 1/2" drive socket and a BFH (Big Fricken Hammer) I was able to save the day. Can't wait to see their faces when I return it for a new one.

For future reference, just put a nut on top of the wheel lock. Then mig weld the inside of the nut to the lock. Finally remove the lock with a regular socket.

:spit: Glad to see I'm not the only one...

I ditched the wheel lock lugs and just put standard lug nuts on my wheels after I lost the key the first time. Way quicker, way easier.

I'm just glad I lost the key BEFORE I installed the lugs...so they're all still sitting in a box somewhere!

Good thing you were'nt out on the road somewhere, could have been a disaster.

One way I found to get them off of Aluminum wheels is to tighten the two lug nuts beside the locking nut down a little extra tight, then with a big brass drift and a big hammer hit the locking lug nut a few times. You can then generally spin it off with your fingers after that.
