Tool set for boat/truck

I need to setup my boat with a simple toolset. It needs to be fairly compact and not snap on expensive. I don't want to think about it ever again however. So I want reasonable good quality stuff. It would be easier to get an all in one type deal then piece everything together. It needs to be somewhat compact Any ideas you guys have?

I think I need:
- compact socket set
- bit driver and regular bits and stainless bits
- multi tool with pliers
- flashlight
- tape
?

Btw this boat is freshwater only no salt

This is gonna get crazy. I'm not gonna get into it, but make sure whatever it is it comes in a water tight box/case if you're gonna keep it on the boat. Nothing worse then spending money on tools, storing them for 2 months on boat without use, then opening them up for the first time to find they're covered in rust and mold. Something military grade would be best. Like a Pelican, Kipper, Jensen or Chicago. They sell on eBay and other surplus sites all the time. Or you can buy a tote or something like that, but the military boxes usually have organizers and everything stays nice and neat. Here's an example of what I'm talking about. Ok, that's great advice. Let's assume I get a pelican case for the tools. I used a pelican when I built the onboard first aid kit. I will do the same here. Thx!

I carry one of the ~$59 tool sets in the blow-molded case in my boat. Added a cheap crimping and stripping tool. Not trying to do real repairs, just get back to the dock.

When I Googled I found several tool kits but I do not know if any of the storage containers are buoyant.

I will probably use an extra set of channel lock pliers, snips, etc that I have in the garage. I was thinking the Leatherman wingman as well.

I don't think I need a full wrench set because this is just emergency stuff.

Any other advice?
