When I bought my place 10 years ago, there was a small garden tool shed (12x12) that was just a frame/stucco sitting on a bunch of old, broken up 2'x4' pieces of concrete. Someone had taken mortar and tried to grout between all of these chunks....it was pathetic. The floor was such a broken up mess of concrete that I debated on tearing it down and starting over. After mulling this over with some of my guys, we decided to try jacking it up and pouring a new floor, and then setting it back down. I got my skid steer out and we lifted each corner until we got it all jacked up and sitting on 4/8/16 blocks on the perimeter base plate (2/4's). Kind of like this:
After we got it up, we formed the new floor, adding a new apron on the front and then built out a 5 foot porch off the front. We poured several yards of new concrete, and then I revamped the interior. This thing is bitchin' now! Damn glad I didn't demo it like I originally planned!
