Welcome to The Garage! A wood floor? You lucky *******! My dream shop would be a rustic wood building with a wood floor, much like this
http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3740&highlight=flag+direction

Could you post a pic? It would help. My first thought would be to use a polyeurethane, maybe even an oil based poly. What type floor is it Pine?, Oak?, Maple?

ill took pics but I really don't know how to transfer them till the wife gets home I really didn't need the 8 x 12 tool shed but when I went to look at it,it had(what I thought)a cool floor(every strip in the floor is a different color)the rest of building is built heavy duty with full dimentional lumber with a sliding door(which moves easily with one finger)I couldn't pass it up for 200 bucks

Pratt Lambert used to make a premium clear coating that was made for marine use. I used it to good success when applied to a set of oak side rails for a customers 1930' Model A pick up truck. I brushed it on for maximum durability. It takes a while to dry properly but is worth the wait.

Have you good luck with Penofin? Saw it the other day at Sutherlands and it had more warnings on it than anything else so I figured it was worth a shot for the fence but I hadn't had a chance to research it yet. Also have you sprayed it with an airless?

Brushed it on a redwood deck in the mountains where it gets snow, rain and sun. Worked pretty well and kept the color for a long time. You do have to keep up with it outdoors, like once a year.
