There is a local tool shop that is closing around me and they have been having a 50% off sale to clear inventory. Lots of older nos tools. Wright, old American tekton, Cresent, and some older usa craftsman, Mac. This was my score. They have tons of single sockets. This is my score. May go back for more. Sad to see these places go but I imagine the internet has really killed alot of these places. Been wanting a 1/4 inch speed wrench for a long time, wont use it alot but handy to have. 20230823_161122.jpg20230823_161130.jpg20230823_161141.jpg20230823_161159.jpg

I would be inclined to take out a loan and purchase as much as is practical. Over time you could make a few Bob selling online.
Surprised he is not doing so himself.
I know of two people who have stocks of NOS mainly British tools, are not letting me anywhere near. Stuff is no use sat in storage when there is healthy interest in it.

Probably good BSW stuff that are unobtanium anymore, bleeder and hone sets for Lockheed hydraulic brakes, replacemenet smoke for Lucas wiring (lol). Someone told me "All that shits so old no one will ever want it, may as well sell it for scrap".

Laporte? The place with more bars than people? I went through there once, every other door was a bar.

We had Seven Corners Hardware up here, most of the help were jerks and soooo condescending, I only went there for rare precision jigs or 100 year old house parts but hated the attitude. They did have a ton of old tools and parts.
