Well first you must convert the fraction to a decimal if converting to MM and visa versa once you've converted your metric measurement to decimal.

So to answer your question.

1/4" = .250 decimal. .250 X 25.4 = 6.35mm or if you're looking for the next closet socket or wrench 7mm

1-1/4" would be 1.250. So that would equal 31.75mm

8mm = .315 and converted to fraction is just smaller then 5/16 or what socket or wrench would fit is a 21/64

27mm = 1.063"

OR if you wanna cheat and not do the math or have some bonehead like me answer your question you can go here and print one for your shop wall. I got several cheat conversion charts in my machine area :)

I need the conversion rates for either of these two measurements
8-27mm or 1/4 to 1 1/4

I found a conversion chart and uploaded a snapshot of it. Hope it helps.
