I have a couple of Dwights, T Dwight might be as follows from DAT*:

1836 Augers
Seymour was then or is now Derby. The input report on Dwight is somewhat confusing, but he apparently was associated with the Upson Mfg. Co. in some way ca. 1836. He and/or a John Dwight were part of Dwights, French & Co. Although no input reports support it, it seems that he and/or John might also have been part of Dwights & Foster.

Mark: T.DWIGHT&CO. (also reported with a "Jb" or "Jr" after Dwight; it is not known if Timothy was a Jr.)

I have a Dwights & French chisel around here somewhere.

Yours would be listed as a plane iron. Who made the plane?

*DAT - Directory of American Toolmakers (pre-1900). I will add your pix to my update notes

If you want to dig further, check out the LIST here. Go all the way to the end to "sources - websites". There are a number or sites that are targeted specifically at early New England tool makers.
As "Plane" has not been within the scope of the "list" project, there may only be a couple entries there.
GJ member CRguy might know of other reference sources - he's a plane collector, as I recall.
