Tool stores in the smokey mountains.

I'm on vacation in the smokey mountains of tenessee. I was searching out tool stores to explore. Any hidden gems? I see harbor freight and northern tool is in Nashville which is about 2 hrs away.

A guy I work with found a tool shop near Dollywood. Most of the stuff he brought back was HF type tools. I will try to get more info at work tomorrow.

Nashville is closer to 4 hours from the Smoky Mountains, it's easily 3 hours from Knoxville and that's west of where you are. Can't help with tool stores in the area, but most stores over that way are tourist traps selling cheap junk or overpriced stuff to folks who don't know better.

There is an HF and Northern Tool in Knoxville. Probably 45 minutes than hour from you depending on where in the mountains you are staying.

In sevierville, pigeon forge area there are several Workshop Tools. Nice stores, a step up from harbor freight. The biggest one is right next door to the Smokey Mountain Knife Works. Have fun.

There's a pretty good flea market with lots of tool vendors at the 407 exit right next to the interstate.

I'm staying in pigeon forge. Google maps says knoxville is only about hr away from Northern tool and hf. I been to workshop tools before beside the smokey mountain knife works. They are are my list too. I'm excited to go to hf and northern tool. I ordered from both but never stepped inside before.

Easy drive to both HF and Northern. Both just off 640 2 exits (probably 4 miles)

The flea market at exit 407 is a very nice gem! Lots of tool vendors last time I was there.

Yep. This is a good one. We were there in October, and found lots good stuff. If you go there, go to the Smokey Mountain Knife Works, right across the street, and plan on spending an afternoon there. You can't see and enjoy it all, unless you do.

There are TONS of outlet places in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. I've not stopped at any of them in years, but if you are after any power tools, there are Bosch, DeWalt, etc. types of places. The main road that runs from I-40 down through Sevierville then PF.
