tool to apply power to circut

I'm not a pro, so please bear with me.

I need something that will supply 12v power to a wire through the insulation. Sort of like a test light has the sharp probe on the end.

You need a powerprobe 3/4/hook. With a insulation piercing probe.

Please explain what you are doing before appling any 12v power to something, as most modern cars ecu's are only using a 5volt circuit. And you dont wanna be frying anything do you.

Power probe would do it. Make sure you know that it is ok to apply the power to that circuit though.

Alligator clip to a sewing pin is all you need. It will pierce the insulation without leaving a hole after you take it out.
