Tool to cut hose

What tools do yall use to cut rubber hose such as fuel lines and heater hoses?
I have always just used my pocket knife which works but the results are not that great.
So what would the best tool to get for clean straight cuts on rubber hose?

I use a pair like this one from Lisle (I'd have to check mine for brand...):

I like it because the point of the blade can be set right on the line I mark and then it penetrates pretty cleanly. The flat or rounded blades sometimes cause the hose to squirm and you don't get a straight cut as it compresses the hose.

I have always used some Craftsman Cutters. I can't seem to find out what they are called right now. One edge is a replaceable ~3" razor blade and the other is a soft plastic piece. Cuts great. The handles are like cman's visegrips/robocraptic pilers with storage in one to hold additional blades. Used them a lot to cut various rubber hoses (ie. fuel lines).

No, PVC I cut on the bandsaw - too brittle for a blade cutter.

HUH??? Small PVC pipe, up to one inch sch 40 cuts just fine with cutters sold for doing that. Only pipe that doesn't work well with the cutters is the super thin wall SDR 21 or sch 20 or whatever the **** is. It will crush and break, sch 40 will simply cut thru.

You've had better luck than me, I guess... The few times I've tried it with a bladed tool I've always cracked the PVC and not gotten a clean cut. But I don't have any cutters "sold for doing that." As for the cutters I've pictured, I'd rather keep them sharp for the hose than dull them on PVC.

Craftsman Handi-cut is awesome, I have the longer bladed of the two, and I only cut hose with it and its still on the original blade.

well I went over to the local sears store and picked up the "Accu-Cut"
it is the same thing as the "Handi-Cut" but it also has a wire cutter and the anvil retacts exposing the tip of the blade to be used as a utlity knife
I cut some 1/4 inch fuel line with it and it worked great, well worth the $24.95
ImportTuner: the back of the package had the part number for extra blades, which I still have in the back of my Jeep, but it is raining right now so I will post the number after lunch

Same problem here. I like the features of the Accu-cut better. I just hate taht you cannot walk into the store to get blades.

yeah I was about to throwout the package till I saw those part numbers and thought I better save this till I write down those numbers somwhere
