I know a lot of tools have a "trade in value" with the drivers what happens to those tools and if they are resold are those tools able to be warrantied in the future if needed? I was just curious

I would think if a dealer sells used in their brand then they'd have to warranty it.

Never bought anything used from a dealer myself but someone just stated they did buy a ton of used stuff off a truck.

I think that would depend on the brand and the driver. I recently purchased an entire set of 1/2 impact sockets (Sunex) from my snap on dealer and he informed me before I purchased them that he honors the warranty on them. On the other hand I know another snap on driver that does not warranty other brands other then SO.
But as far as if used stuff is warrantied, I think if it's the same brand as the truck, then it should carry the same warranty. Exception to that would be air tools and cordless tools, I think.

Both the Matco and Snap On guys here will buy and sell tools... if it's their brand, it's not particularly cheap, but has a warranty. If it's another brand, they both sell it damn cheap, as-is. That's how we have a $200 Solus.

Used Snap-on tools bought thru your SO driver have the same ad infinitum (it's Latin, LOL) SO warranty as usual for hand tools.

Air and power tools vary but rebuilt air tools I have bought used from SO driver rebuilt in Kenosha do same as new warranty.

Different brand than driver selling them? Then you are on your own.
Or, we are back to good driver relationship vs. walk-on or occasional buyer.

If it's another brand, they both sell it damn cheap,

And a mega YES to this.

Especially boxes, large items and tech tools. Move it quick to make room for the known ROV truck tool items.
