Anyone see any interesting tool trucks recently? Mostly what rolls through my neighborhood is Snap on and Matco. On July 5, 2023 I was able to get on a small but friendly Cornwell truck @ the VW dealership in Charlottesville,VA. I don't even remember if he had a rolling toolbox on his truck. His prices were very reasonable. I honestly don't know if I will ever make it on a Cornwell truck again due to finances being tight but it was a good experience for me. Have any of you seen active tool trucks out there recently? Thank you for your time! I should mention that I was able to buy a 10 mm. wrench.

Drove 4K miles round-trip around the Southwest from Sept 1 to Sept 15. Saw ONE Snap-On truck.

Haven't seen a Cornwell truck in years. There was a guy from The Big City who would come to my home-town twice a month. But if he's still doing that, I haven't seen him.

Saw two Mac trucks on the same highway, going the same direction a few days ago. About three minutes apart. Thought I was in the Matrix, seeing deja-vu.

Saw a Matco truck yesterday.

The local Snap-On guy shows up at my house. Also, loaned me his wood-splitter. I hadda buy some tools from him after that...

Picked up a socket from my Cornwell dealer at work earlier, still have a few more hand-made Ohio tools on indefinite backorder.

I don't normally care for the blue power (import) line, but he showed me a new 1/4" 120tooth that really impressed me. Bleh handle and switch design, but the mechanism was super smooth with shockingly low backdrag.

I also see a Snap-On truck come by on Wednesdays and I know of a Matco truck in the area but I don't use them.

There is an online auction coming up in Roanoke that should put a dent in the Snap-on and Mac tool truck driver’s income. Estate of former Ryder mechanic. Tons of tools.

Always a key point, the location.
We get Snap on, MAC and Cornwell here or coming through our small town. Poster I quoted works in same small town, unbeknownst to either one of us.

It's not often, you see a local place posted randomly by another person and recognize it.

I have seen our Snap On guy parked in front of our neighbors newish shop building. I'm curious if they are friends or if the neighbor is having his shop outfitted. Either way I'm jealous. 🤣

The MAC TOOL guy stopped by for a visit. He brought coffee. He remembered the cream and Splenda amounts.

MONSTER sized Snap-On diesel pulling into the Peterbilt shop in Knoxville, TN. Had to be over 40 feet long.

This was a Friday, more than likely operating on a tank of gas from October, so I'll include it.

I did not go on board. But I should have.

I see Snapon and I think Matco (or Mac? or something else that begins with M?) trucks fairly regularly south of the Bay Area in CA. Not that I ever buy those tools, but I see the trucks fairly often.
