You can depend on me to let you know about any F/S listings here in KC. I hate people that do that.

Having been the victim of tool theft my heart goes out to him. I would hope he's insured but I know that doesn't cover the money he loses from sales. I hope the theif stabs himself through the heart with a screwdriver

That ***** man. Crazy to think that a snap on truck can get hit, guess they aren't no different than a shop but man I would think they would be like fort knox, thought I remember one of the dealers on here say something like 300K in tools on the trucks. I'm way up in WI but will keep an eye open. Hopefully they catch the guys, seems like pros and not your average crackhead.

Here about a month ago, looks like everything was brand new still in wrapping from snap-on. It was a whole room filled with that stuff on craigslist for dirt cheap. I cant find it now but was up like a week ago.

I think he meant main line tools. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, prybars, etc...

Duh, I really didn't get it, lol

What boxes? How would did they get boxes off the truck without lowering the lift gate or was it hard wired in. Boxes will prob able show up on nationwide CL.

I hope to have a list of some of the odd or rare items that would stand out.
I am not sure if the boxes were stolen as well and how many. My boss is there tonight helping take inventory of what was left so they can determine how much was lost in $

Right here is going to be your best bet of catching them. The other stuff they might keep for personal use or be able to sell on the down low but there is no need for 60 cordless tools and getting rid of 60 brand new cordless tools is going to be pretty hard.

Your on the money there. Small amounts can prob be sold locally or to friends but that many cordless tools are gonna take some shifting.
The mac dealer here in the uk had his vanstolen twice in six months and he's still struggling.

wouldn't be hard at all. The problem is they will get stupid and try to dump them all at once.

A van stolen twice in 6 months? That's rough. I hope he has some kind of lowjack or something on his truck now.

Rephrase-going to be the most difficult to dump without any notice of it. Although this was in Texas so who knows they may be in mexico already long gone.

While were at tool expo in Cancun last year, a distributor form Georgia got his truck stolen. I was talking to him when he got the phone call.

Those guys hit a lot of trucks in about 3-4 months. I don't remember the name of the Snap On dealer (I think it was Larry)in Sunnyvale, but he got hit 2 times in the same week. I am almost remembering that he got hit a 3rd time.

Hmm,
I saw an ad in my area on CL saying a dealer was going out of business and this guy was selling a bunch of stuff new. Was a TUV box in the list of stolen items?

I'm in ATX, just starting out (so am looking for great deals). I'll take the reward anyday over a stolen driver.
