Tool Vault Drawers Keep Opening

My Tool Vault box is probably 4-5 years old now. It's been perfect with the exception that my drawers tend to slide open on their own. Not all of them, but several of the heavier drawers. I had Sticklytoolboxes send me new indents a couple of years ago, but the problem is back.

For reference, my tool box is sitting on concrete in my attached garage. Like most garages, the floor has an ever so slight lean to the driveway, but not even enough to be obvious.

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm tired of having to lock my box to keep the drawers closed. I'd love to buy some extra heavy duty indents, but I don't know if such a thing exists. Is there a fix other than me shimming the wheels in the front?

leveling the box is the best idea....you really don't want something heavy leaning towards a fall in the first place. Especially important if you have kids around the shop...

The indents are small friction points, the out of level will overcome the minimal friction of the indents.

Not familiar with heavy duty indents.

I have my tool boxes against the back wall of my garage. Like you - I had drawers that would come open. Once I put a level on them, I couldn't believe how much fall was in the 1st 18" of my garage floor....I ended up putting my units on stainless legs which have leveling adjustment....huge change. - If I kept mine on wheels I was going to cut down a wood piece made for each wheel.

Thanks fellas. I've never put a level on my box so maybe my floor has more slope than I realize. I'll check it and fashion some shims for the wheels.

I have the same issue and need to change the plastic detents.

Had same problem. I shimmed the front of mine. Problem solved.

yep, shim the wheels so that it is tipped back a little.
