Well, looks like we're back up and running this morning. Bonus, at least to me, the site seems to be operating MUCH faster. I doubled the memory and quadrupled the storage space.

I'm not sure what happened overnight but if you're using Internet Explorer as your browser, you need to go to https://toolarchives.com/ in order to get to the site. If you're using Firefox it appears to be working either way. I'll have to look into this later after work. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Ok folks, I'm sure many of you have noticed that TA is down. Unfortunately, while doing a SW upgrade, I flubbed up going too fast and I accidentally lost a directory, a crucial directory.

Good news is that I still have the vast majority (if not all) of the data in the database. Bad news is I'll have to rebuild everything to access and display it..

It'll take me quite some time but I'll get there eventually.

So, please pardon my ignorance and lack of focus and bear with me as I figure out how to rebuild.

I'm still having issues getting back online. In the meantime, I'm going to move all my catalogs into Google Drive so you guys can get to them. I've started by putting up a couple MTF catalogs I've recently acquired from libraries, along with a couple Plomb and a couple new Blackhawk.

Please let me know if you have any issues getting into the folders, opening the scans, etc.

By "my catalogs" do you literally mean only your own? Or do you mean all the catalogs that were once hosted on TA, i.e., including those that other members own, which they sent to you to scan? (Reason I ask is, I've been waiting to see a bunch of Tin Medic catalogs. )

Also, just spitballin', but if worse comes to worse, and a more permanent solution does not readily present itself, and you have access to other TA material (e.g., histories and timelines that we developed, tool examples, etc), we could use the same drive and method for that. We could create files for each category - e.g., MTF History, MTF Timeline, MTF Tools, etc) in Word or ppt or whatever would be more conducive, stuff them with the old material, and save it as a PDF. It wouldn't be very elegant, and it wouldn't be interactive, but at least it would be available as an on-line reference where it's not now. Just an idea...

Mike, long story made short, NO. I've decided I've had enough frustration with it so when I have time (who knows), I'm going to rebuild it from scratch, incorporating lessons learned, and copy/paste all the old content into the new site.
